This restaurant specializes in the food of Northern China (surprise!), so when you order here, you should, too.
There are two sections on the menu devoted to these regional specials, and a few items are a must: a cold dish called “mixed vegetables & bean jelly with sesame sauce.” Bean jelly is an unusual type of thick wide flat noodle. “Stewed with Northern China Style” has pork belly and those bean jelly noodles again. “Special pork pan cakes” consists of spicy stir-fried pork belly with a side of steamed rice buns.
As is the way with large banquet hall-style Chinese places, portions are large, so bring friends and you will be able to try several dishes. Trying to work your way through the menu alone will take a while. And can certainly do some damage to your waistline.
