Screaming hot cast-iron woks and screaming hot Sichuan peppercorns can make for a smoky and spicy experience you won’t soon forget.
If you are looking for something different here, try the “Cold Smoked Meat” appetizer with an interesting texture and delicious smoky and spicy flavor. It includes ultra-thin slivers of various cuts, from smoked pig ear to tender beef. Just eat it, it’s delicious. The kitchen also does a great tea-smoked duck. Other places in town smoke it too much and it can get bitter, but here it is just right. Another amazing thing to come out of those woks is a dish with four kinds of mushrooms served on an iron-cast skillet. There’s a wonderful smoky flavor in the dish that makes it really special.
This clean and modern Chinese restaurant is almost out of place among the other hole-in-the-wall joints around it, but don’t let that scare you.
