For more than 38 years this quaint Greenville Avenue bistro has been serving French-inspired dishes, such as the stellar mushroom soup, moules frites, mustard-crusted salmon, homemade charcuterie, and baked brie—chef owner Brian Luscher is always updating. Monthly Wednesday wine dinners bring winemakers from around the world with a three-course dinner for an exceptional price: $45 per person.
Sunday brunch offerings include fried polenta cheese fritters beside oxtail, rainbow trout, steak frites, or The Grape’s famous burger—voted best in Texas by Texas Monthly magazine in 2009. Grilled cheese sandwiches are prepared with a cheese selection from around the world, and buttery pain au lait—gooey, cheesy perfection.
Twenty-four wines are served by the glass from the well-known to eclectic boutique finds. Or try the Boursin martini with Grey Goose vodka and hand-stuffed Boursin cheese olives.
