“What the Fearless Critic books and apps have that UrbanSpoon and Yelp don’t is a complete lack of bullshit.”
“I’ve spent years driving around with Zagat...but I think I’ll replace it with this Fearless Critic guide.”

Dante’s Inferno Dogs
As long as these brats exist, heaven can wait. So can our diets...

Like Satan, Dante’s is always lurking at the periphery, chipping away at our negligible will power. There’s the cart on a hot day, luring you away from sensible sustenance, like water. Or outside the gym. Or across the street from the bar where you already exceeded your weekly calorie intake in beer.

For more than nine years, Dante Rivera has made the best bratwurst on wheels, and he now has seven carts in his fleet. A variety of toppings is available; the bratwurst is best served with grilled onions and Seattle’s default condiment, cream cheese (great on brats, unforgivable on regular hot dogs). The veggie and chicken varieties of sausage are surprisingly good.

Regular weekly stops for the carts include University Village shopping center (on Friday, Saturday, Sunday), and the Ballard Sunday Market. Check out the Dante's Twitter feed (@danteinfernodog) to find out where else the carts pop up.
