Website www.ste-michelle.comOverview This Sauvignon Blanc is not as
in-your-face as some of what you see
coming out of New Zealand, and for
that we like it. The style is a nice
blend of Old World and New: the
region’s cool climate ensures that
grapes aren’t overripe or the wines
too sweet. Château Ste. Michelle has
consistently fared well with Wine
Trialsblind tasters and with the wine
world at large; they seem to have
mastered the art of producing
delicious, interesting wines for the
budget drinker.
Nose The aromas are very, very faint.
Blind tasters definitely knew this was
a Sauvignon Blanc, and there was a
hint of florality, too.
Mouth It’s silky and rich, with plenty
of floral notes, lemon-lime hints, and
lots of good acidity.
