Overview Brancott claims to have planted the first commercial vineyard in New Zealand’s Marlborough region—no small distinction, as Marlborough produces a lot of the country’s best Sauvignon Blancs. They also claim allegiance to sustainable agriculture, so you can feel good about drinking this wine. All in all, we’re impressed, as were our blind tasters when they sampled this Sauvignon Blanc.

Nose It’s definitely a New Zealand Sauv Blanc, with aggressive aromas of citrus, apples, and grass.

Mouth It’s quite herbal—one blind taster compared it to asparagus in lemon juice. The acid is bracing, just the way we like it.
