Vintage tasted 2009 Grapes Sauvignon Blanc

Overview We’ve frequently found that Chilean wines walk the thin line between Old World and New World styles, and this Sauvignon Blanc is no exception—not surprising, given the fact that Los Vascos is part of the Lafite group. It has the grassy, vegetal quality of New Zealand Sauv Blancs as well as the fruitier notes found in top cold-climate examples. It has enough of those classic aromas to let most of our blind tasters know that this is mostly definitely a Sauvignon Blanc.

Nose Tropical fruit, cat pee, and vegetables: sounds like a Sauvignon Blanc to us.

Mouth One blind taster called it bright, grassy, and acidic; it also has a nice herbal quality that’s hard to dislike.
