Website www.oysterbaywines.comOverview One of the best-known and most
popular Kiwi wines, Oyster Bay is
very distinctively a New Zealand
Sauvignon Blanc. While it doesn’t
have much of the “cat pee” flavor
that often distinguishes these wines,
it has all the tropical fruit, biting
acidity, and vegetal flavors you could
ask for. That’s not surprising, as we
find these wines to be some of the
most consistent in the wine world at
this price point; if you like the style
you’ll rarely be disappointed.
Nose Our blind tasters found floral
aromas, tropical fruit, apple, and
cabbage—in a good way.
Mouth It’s consistent here, too:
banana and other tropical fruits,
vegetal flavors, and lots of acidity.
