Overview Tecate’s namesake is a small city on the US-Mexico border a few miles inland from Tijuana. Tecate beer is produced today by the same Heineken subsidiary that makes Dos Equis, Bohemia, and Sol.

Flavors and aromas This American-style pale lager doesn’t inspire a lot of brand loyalty among either big brand drinkers or the anti-brand rebels, but we’d be as happy drinking this as anything from the competition. Light, sweet malt in the nose, low hop bitterness, charming carbonation all combine to form a refreshing, clean lager with no flaws. Bring on the sunshine and light the barbecue.
