Blind tasting review

Family Pale Lager Style North American Lager
Country Mexico ABV 5.3%
Producer Cuauhtémoc Moctezuma (Heineken)
Price $$ Packaging 12oz/355ml bottle
Characteristics Malty, refreshing

Overview Bohemia is produced by the same Mexican group that produces Dos Equis, Sol, and Tecate, which today is owned by Heineken. The name is an homage to the Czech region that pilsner comes from.

Flavors and aromas Some of our tasters felt this was a balanced, rich version of a pale lager, while others found it heavy and lacking the crispness of the best lagers. Either way, it seems to be set more in the mold of a Bavarian Helles lager than its Czech namesake. At any rate, this is worth trying if you’d like a lager with more body than your standard domestic.
