Overview Thailand is not a country with a
long history of brewing, and
Singha has seen all of it—it’s the
nation’s first domestic beer. The
Boon Rawd brewery was founded
in 1933 by Boonrawd
Sreshthaputra.
Flavors and aromas We were
happy to get non-skunked
samples, given that what’s served
in restaurants is so often skunky.
Sweet malt and spicy noble hops
pair with light cooked corn in the
nose here. The light body of this
beer has firm malt and clean
character. Bitterness isn’t strong,
but it’s definitely present, shining
through in the aftertaste. Good
flavor intensity persists into the
well-balanced finish, and our
tasters noted the nice mouthfeel
and good carbonation.
