Flavors and aromas Our panel was delighted with the American-styled Broken Halo IPA. What it lacks in in-your-face power, it makes up in impeccable balance, beginning with a complex blend of citrus aromas—our panel listed nearly every citrus fruit grown in North America—before shifting on the tongue to a harmonious blend of hops, bitterness, and supporting malt. The bitterness always leads the malt here, but there are no hard edges to this beer. A wonderfully balanced, calm IPA.
