Overview Dogfish Head makes a line of IPAs that take their names seriously. The 60 Minute is so called because it’s boiled for 60 minutes, and has 60 IBUs that come from 60 hop additions. At 6.0% ABV, this is one consistent beer. You can probably guess how the 90 Minute is put together...
Flavors and aromas A bright, firm bouquet with lemon/citrus notes is zesty and exciting. We got a bit of toasty malt, too. The palate is light-bodied, perhaps even slightly thin, but there is some Munich-malt character along with plenty of lemon and orange-peel hop flavor. The bitterness outweighs the malt, but is still restrained by IPA (and Dogfish Head) standards. This is a nice beer that one could drink in multiples—which can get dangerous.
