Overview China’s largest brewery is owned in part by InBev Anheuser-Busch and Japan’s Asahi Brewery; its flagship beer is firmly in the mold of American lagers like Budweiser, being lightly hopped and brewed with rice.

Flavors and aromas Tsingtao doesn’t stand out among a crowd of American pale lagers. Our bottles were a touch skunky (which is unsurprising given the green packaging) with a bit more body and sweetness than, say, Budweiser. There’s very little else to distinguish this beer, other than a hint of butterscotch in the finish.
