Overview Sam Adams Light—the only Boston Beer product to use the casual form of Mr. Adams’ name— is definitely lighter than standard lagers, but it’s not nearly as low in calories as most light lagers, weighing in at 125 where most are in the 100-110 range.

Flavors and aromas Where other light beers only point, Samuel Adams Light dares to tread. The only light beer in our tasting that multiple tasters mistook for a full calorie beer, this whiskey-colored beer has light aroma hops, mild caramel, bready malt in the palate, and most surprising, a mediumbodied mouthfeel. This would be on the thin end of the spectrum, for a regular beer, but for a light beer, it’s almost magical.
