Overview Despite operating the world’s largest brewery and having a history that dates back to 1874, Coors has only been distributing its beer across the whole United States since the early 1990s. But that hasn’t prevented Coors Light from becoming the fourth-bestselling beer in the country.

Flavors and aromas The best American light beers are refreshing and dry, with minimal malt character and no bitterness. Here, there’s a light, sweet character in the aroma (described by one taster as “cidery;” another was reminded of Chardonnay) that seemed out of place. Still, it’s unlikely that anyone consuming this beer from an ice-cold can would notice.
