Overview Anheuser-Busch’s most prominent budget label was launched in 1955 as Busch Bavarian Beer. The brand today includes Light and Ice versions of this light lager.

Flavors and aromas It takes all kinds to make up the world of beer drinkers; our experts and brewers rarely agreed unanimously on anything. But we were of one mind on the question of Busch: it’s a poor excuse for a lager. The sole redeeming point was a hint of hop aroma. But then, how much time do you plan to spend smelling your pint of Busch? On the palate, this beer was flat, bready, and insipid. Even at the bottom of the price ladder, you’ve got better options.
