Overview MGD is a cold-filtered (rather than heat-pasteurized) version of Miller’s High Life beer, developed in the mid-1980s as Miller started to lose its market edge with Miller Lite. A number of other breweries have produced “genuine draft” products, usually in cans aping Miller’s, but none have achieved much success.

Flavors and aromas An airy, light nose has hints of cidery sweetness and little else. A faint corn flavor and graham cracker sweetness make up the bulk of this light, soft palate, with medium carbonation. This is bland and inoffensive, with no signs of hop bitterness or flavor. Tasters slightly preferred this beer from can than bottle, but they were not terribly different.
