Overview We love these vintners. Clearly after our own hearts, they tout their hardy ”extreme terroir,” insisting that the hostile environment leads to flavorful, powerful grapes. We’re inclined to agree—this Chenin Blanc (one of a few in this year’s edition) is quite dry and acidic but still full bodied. Let’s hope other winemakers follow their straight-shooting lead.
Nose It has a funky nose, which surprised our blind tasters with some oak.
Mouth It’s clean and slightly metallic, with a round mouthfeel cut by bracing acidity.
