Style Rosé Country Italy Price $13
Vintage tasted 2008 Grapes Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon

Overview Go ahead, name a great Italian rosé widely available in the U.S. Give up? So had we, until our blind tasters found this gem from one of Tuscany’s best-known producers. Made from Sangiovese, Merlot, and Cabernet Sauvignon—grapes that often make up the powerful red “Super Tuscans”—it’s subtle and surprisingly refreshing. We’re confident it will work equally well as a meal companion or a summery wine.

Nose Red fruit, a hint of earth, and a Champagne-like yeastiness make for a complex blend that kept our blind tasters coming back for more.

Mouth Despite the subtle fruit and yeastiness, it’s crisp and refreshing.
