Vintage tasted 2009 Grapes Torrontés

Overview Torrontés has carved a niche for itself as the signature white grape of Argentina, and the fresh, floral, aromatic wines it produces seem perfectly suited to the American market. It may not have much name recognition in the mass market yet, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it eventually became as ubiquitous as Sauvignon Blanc. Wines like this one—flowery but fresh—make us excited for the day you’ll find mini-bottles of Torrontés on your JetBlue flight to Buffalo.

Nose Flowers and peaches are the most obvious of the many notes in this aromatic wine.

Mouth There’s florality here as well, along with more fruit and a slight herbal quality. It’s all very refreshing.
