Overview San Francisco’s Speakeasy may not have the recognition of Anchor, but it’s definitely a hometown favorite, available in hundreds of locations around the Bay Area. Its reach has expanded steadily into other western states and Canada.

Flavors and aromas Malt and caramel were the dominant flavors in this beer, which our panel didn’t like nearly as much as Speakeasy’s Big Daddy IPA. The bitterness comes on late and lingers, giving a slightly harsh finish that comes as a surprise after the mild hop profile in the rest of the beer.
