Overview Oskar Blues is pushing the envelope of canned beer—while the number of canned craft beers seems to be accelerating, we’re not aware of other brewers who are canning strong beers like the Old Chub or the 10.5% ABV Ten Fiddy Imperial stout.

Flavors and aromas A complex sassafras and cinnamon nose has lightly roasted grain notes. Bright flavors here include lively fruitiness and acidity, as well as toasted and roasty notes. Medium full body is malty; some tasters found it sweet. Carbonation is low, which bothered some, but the alcohol and moderate hop bitterness (too much to be authentically Scottish) tame the malt in the finish.
