Overview This is the only Deschutes beer to be labeled as organic, and it’s priced the same as their other year-round seasonals. We like the idea of using Salmon-Safe certified hops—we hope they’ll end up in all of their beers.

Flavors and aromas Striking balance is the hallmark of this beer, beginning with a nose that splits evenly between citrus-tangerine hops and caramel. In the mouth, we registered bright citrus hops alongside caramel malt and lurking bitterness—providing a suggestion of unsweetened cola. It’s slightly sweet on the tongue for a moment, before the bitterness gently grabs the palate and glides up in intensity, when balance—but not drinkability—fades somewhat.
