Overview Burlington, Vermont’s Magic Hat Brewing, founded in 1994, has seen steady expansion and currently serves most of the East Coast, with a focus on light ales with low bitterness, like their flagship “not quite pale ale” #9.

Flavors and aromas This exceptionally light pale ale has more in common with some of the pale lagers we tasted than most of the pale ales, with minimal hop character and low bitterness in a very light palate, but the real crux of the matter here is that there is an apricot flavor which, given the light profile, has ample room to charm or annoy you. This is an introduction to hops for soda drinkers who crave that sweetness.
