Overview Blue Moon is marketed as a craft beer, and given the unusual flavor profile, we can’t really fault them for it. But the origin of the beer—Golden, Colorado—is a tipoff to the fact that Blue Moon is a Coors brand.

Flavors and aromas It’s heartening that American drinkers have taken to Blue Moon, since it decidedly does not taste like typical American beer offerings. A moderately soapy coriander nose with slight sour notes wafts from the glass, and the palate is floral, gently malty, with light bitterness. But the flavor fades quickly, and this lacks the conviction of a true Belgian witbier like Hoegaarden, relying too much on coriander to carry it.
