Overview Paulaner’s pale hefeweizen is its top-selling beer, out of about a dozen different bottlings. As is the norm with the major Munich breweries, they make beers in essentially every style associated with Bavaria.
Flavors and aromas A classic Bavarian hefeweizen, Paulaner Hefe showcases all of the yeast-produced flavors absent in the American rendition of the style. Clove and banana are big and forward in the nose, there’s also lemon and bubblegum, and the palate is full, round, and soft, with clove spice and wheat suggesting spice cookies. The palate and finish are fairly dry, with beautifully lingering clove and other baking spice notes.
