Many Korean places do BBQ and Korea House is no exception. But look beyond it here...there’s more interesting (uncooked) fare to be had.
Yes, the BBQ and banchan (side dishes) are good, and yes, that is a sushi bar in the middle of the restaurant. Sushi in Korean joints is not uncommon, but look at the whole menu—not many places have specialties like Korea House. There are two dishes here that must be ordered. Hongoh hwe (spicy marinated raw skate fish); and yang nyum ge jang (spicy marinated raw blue crab) are worth seeking out.
Lunch specials, almost all under $10 are a great deal here, especially the generous bento boxes. And there’s soju and other spirits, sake, beer, and wine if you want a full complement of traditional alcoholic drinks. But it’s the raw seafood that’s going to keep you coming back.
