Blind tasting review
Greg Norman Cabernet Merlot
Greg Norman Cabernet Merlot
Limestone Coast

Style Heavy red New World Country Australia Price $15
Vintage tasted 2007 Grapes Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot

Overview Like the golfer/owner himself, Greg Norman is a large and well-respected producer from Australia, and it earns its reputation with this offering. It’s definitely an Australian wine (big, fruity, and enthusiastically New World in style), but it’s fairly complex and thoroughly delicious. It even reminded one blind taster of Thanksgiving dinners past.

Nose Loads of fruit here, with some sweet spice and a distinct aroma that one blind taster labeled as varnish.

Mouth Another blind taster found elegant fruit and pumpkin pie. There’s more acidity than one might expect, as well as meat-friendly tannins.
