Website www.lavieilleferme.comOverview For two years, the red wine from this
producer has wowed our tasters;
now it’s the white’s turn. Ugni Blanc,
a part of this blend, is the most
widely planted grape in France (often
known as Trebbiano in Italy). It
makes wines like this one: fresh,
fruity, and meant for immediate
consumption. So don’t give this
bottle to your mother if she’s likely to
save it for a special occasion a few
years down the road—it won’t end
well.
Nose It’s aromatic, with peach,
orange, and floral notes. There’s also
some nice minerality.
Mouth It’s very light here, almost to
the point of being thin. But the
orange and lime flavors and
refreshing acidity save it.
