Overview For this wine, third time’s the charm. In previous years, our blind tasters found this wine too barnyardy to be appealing, but this year it was just right. An alluring richness and berry flavor balance the earthiness and mulch that are part of most good Chianti wines. We’d be happy to drink this with simple, rustic Italian food any day.
Nose It’s rich, with a mulchy earthiness that our blind tasters found appealing.
Mouth A bright burst of fruit and solid acid provide excellent balance.
