Columbia Crest Two Vines Riesling

Style Sweet or aromatic Country USA (WA) Price $8
Vintage tasted 2008 Grapes Riesling

Overview Unlike many New World Rieslings, which can be insipid or cloying, this wine is light, refreshing, and just plain fun to drink. As is the case with many good Rieslings, it walks a delicate tightrope between sweetness and acidity. We’ll happily drink this bottle outside, or as a complement to anything from Thai food to shellfish.

Nose It’s not particularly fruity; instead our blind tasters detected honey, brine, and a slight vegetality.

Mouth There’s fruit here, along with great mouthwatering acidity. Just what we look for in a budget domestic Riesling.
