Overview Lagunitas makes only one lager—this old-school pilsner—and the quality here is high enough that we wouldn’t mind seeing more.

Flavors and aromas There is corn in the nose here—not unusual for a pilsner—along with light and sweet grain flavors, and some “hoppy snap,” as one taster put it. Malt dominates at first, and bitterness starts slowly but builds, gradually moving from softly American to Bohemian levels and edging into German lager territory. Floral flavor hops carry things along nicely throughout.
