Vintage tasted NV Grapes Trepat, Garnacha

Overview Our blind tasters’ love affair with Spanish Cava continues with this rich, fruity rosé. And while many inexpensive rosé sparklers can be cloyingly sweet or nauseatingly jammy, this one retains enough of Cava’s classic bite to be both well-balanced and accessible. It will also go well with a surprisingly large variety of foods—one taster reported an excellent dinner involving an upscale Mexican restaurant and a bottle of Casteller Rosé.

Nose It’s not exactly complex: the aroma of strawberries dominates completely. But who complains about strawberry?

Mouth Strawberry continues to dominate. While some blind tasters thought it was a bit too sweet, most thought the acid/fruit/sugar balance was just about perfect.
