Kaiken Reserve Malbec
Kaiken Reserve Malbec

Style Heavy red New World Country Argentina Price $14
Vintage tasted 2007 Grapes Malbec, Cabernet Sauvignon

Overview Kaikenes are wild geese in Patagonia that routinely fly back and forth between Argentina and Chile. This winery was begun by a Chilean producer who moved to start a new venture in Argentina, so he named the wine after the geese. Romantic, no?

Nose It’s not a showoff, but its simple aromas of berries and earth pleased our tasters.

Mouth A perfect table wine, it has straightforward fruit one blind taster called lovely. For a Malbec, it has a surprisingly supple feel.
