Overview Were it not for brown bags (and the fact that this wine performed wonderfully for the past two years), we probably never would have tried this bottle: a lot of these new trying-too-hard labels tend to suggest sugary plonk. Not here. If anything, it’s a bit understated—its light berry and vegetable flavors and robust tannins make for an ideal red table wine. Which is appropriate for a brand positioning itself as a “house wine.”

Nose It’s fairly subtle, with berries, stone, and vegetal aromas.

Mouth It’s got good fruit and enough tannin to help it stand up to fairly robust dishes. One blind taster also picked up on a Dr. Pepper flavor.
