“What the Fearless Critic books and apps have that UrbanSpoon and Yelp don’t is a complete lack of bullshit.”
“I’ve spent years driving around with Zagat...but I think I’ll replace it with this Fearless Critic guide.”

Mama Pita
Fast falafel is your best option at this gussied-up cafeteria

Few frills greet those stepping into this Shops at Legacy storefront. The unwieldy ordering process furthers this initial lunchroom impression. Although it essentially involves approaching the counter, selecting from the menu, and picking up your tray, a set of variables—lamb, beef, chicken, or vegetarian in pita, salad, or platter form—acts as an annoying stumbling block, particularly when it comes down to adding sides and sauces. Fortunately, the counter staff allow samples of tzatziki, garlic aïoli, and other items to nudge guests toward a final decision. They patiently (and almost cheerfully) help first timers along.

Falafel stands out from this mess, emerging from kitchen to tray as deep brown, crunchy orbs with a grounded and herbal center. Considering the assembly line process, Mama Pita’s hummus is rather decent, as well. There’s no escaping the cafeteria atmosphere, however. It’s a lunch stop for shoppers and office drones from nearby corporate hives, one presumably healthier than other nearby options.
