Overview The Champagne of Beers is an epic, evocative slogan—certainly better than the more literal A Gassy, Carbonated Beer. Introduced in 1903, High Life was consigned for the last few decades to the nostalgia beer bin, during which Miller Lite rose to become one of the country’s best-selling beers, but the recent “Take Back the High Life” campaign has reestablished the brand.

Flavors and aromas It seems that this beer would best live on in reprints of old advertisements, forever young, fresh, and Champagne-esque. We found it to be flat and lifeless, with the merest hint of citrus/lemon hop character differentiating it from an army of less-expensive budget lagers.
