Overview Nonalcoholic beer has never taken off in the US and Canada in the way it has in Europe, but Anheuser-Busch’s O’Douls still seems to be going strong. There’s also an amber version.

Flavors and aromas O’Douls is clearly in the mode of a light American lager, but it’s not a bad one at that, and none of our tasters guessed that it was non-alcoholic. Faint hops and malt behind mild skunkiness lead into a typically thin, dry palate. Lightly bready, crisp and dry, with faint floral notes, this finishes with a touch of astringency, but it’s basically a clean, refreshing, light lager.
