Overview The Henry Weinhard’s brand produces two wheat beers: a Belgian-style wheat beer and this hefeweizen. This beer is “honey-brewed,” which we think means that honey is an ingredient.

Flavors and aromas There are very mild hints of the Bavarian weizen yeast character—clove and banana—but overall it’s more in the mold of a sweet American-style wheat beer. There’s some citrus zest here, and black pepper, but the wheat character comes off as bland cereal. There are things to like about this beer, but the individual pieces never quite find harmony with each other.
